Sri Sailam Kshetra Nagar All India Arya Vysya Anna Satram Sangham
In the year 1956, under the name Sri Sailam Kshetra Nagar All India Arya Vysya Anna Satram Sangham, Srisailam, when there was no proper road access to Srisailam, we carried materials on donkeys and organized an Anna Satram (free food service) during the festival of Maha Shivaratri.
Later, on 24-11-1957, the foundation stone for the accommodation satram (choultry) was laid by the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Neelam Sanjiva Reddy. The construction of the satram continued, and on 25-12-1962, the Nitya Anna Satram (daily free meal service) was inaugurated by Sri Bacchu Gurumurthy, Minister for Transport, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Since then, it has been running under the name “Vasavi Satram, Srisailam.”
